    About our Race:

    Our race was established in 2004 in memory of
    our daughter Allyce Brunk, who passed away in
    November of 2003 at the age of 4 from
    complications related to Complex 1
    Mitochondrial disease. Since then we have
    raised a total of more than $30,000 for our very
    worthy cause, the United Mitochondrial Disease
    Foundation, Eaton County's EarlyOn program,
    and Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan.
